Basic Rules
Call, drop off, mail, or e-mail in your picks before the start of the first game of the week. Games are due by the start of the first game on Sunday. No changes will be excepted after that time. If games are on Thursday or Saturday you may pick them individually and send the rest in on Sunday.
Weekly winner is the person with the highest score - totaling the points from all the games they got right. Winner will not be paid until one week after the final game to give everyone a chance to check their scores for errors. (New 2014)
If there is a tie the Packer Game tie breaker will be used. The closest to total score (without going over)will be the winner.
Example: Green Bay 35 Chicago 6 = Total Score of 41
John Guessed 33
Tracy Guessed 42
John would be the winner.
If all guesses were over, then closest to the score would win.
Win Loss records be used in tie breakers for the overall winners of the final standing.
Example: (After Final Week)
John has 1375 pts. 135-42 w/l
Tracy has 1375 pts .132-45 w/l
John wins 1st place Tracy gets second.
Prizes will be as follows:
1st Place = 50%
2nd Place = 25%
3rd Place = 15%
4th Place = 10%
There will also be 3 prizes for non-winners at the end of the pool! Lowest score, highest score and best record. Prizes will be chosen in this order and standings will be used as a tie-breaker. In order to win the lowest score you must have all picks in on time (including Thursdays). If you miss a pick you can not win last place!
If you fail to get your picks in for the week you will receive a ZERO for the week. If you miss the Thursday or Saturday game(s) you can send in the remaining picks, but you must take the highest point loss for each game you miss.
As commissioner, I will do my best to catch any errors and contact you to correct them. In most cases I will not find the errors until after the games have been completed. At that time I will do my best to make corrections following this rule.... Player will take the lower score on mistakes.
Example:
Player uses the number 10 twice on pick sheet and forgets to use the number 9. If one team wins and the other loses, play will receive nine points for the winning team and lose 10 points for the team that lost. PLEASE double check your picks to avoid this issue!
Any other questions or possible errors please give me a call as soon as possible.
Good Luck
